A nasal spray treatment designed to reduce brain inflammation and nerve damage in the days after a head injury.

- Traumatic brain injury (TBI) affects soldiers, athletes, first responders, and older adults. The CDC reports 214,000+ TBI hospitalizations per year in the U.S. — and many more go untreated.
- Difference
- A simple nasal spray — given in the first days after injury — could reduce the brain damage that builds up over time. No surgery. No IV. Easy to use in the field or ER.
- Status
- Mississippi State University pilot study (2023): Treated rats showed brain inflammation markers (GFAP) 25% lower at day 3 and 28% lower at day 6 versus untreated injured rats. Neuron damage markers (NSE) returned to near-normal levels by day 6 in treated rats but stayed 51% elevated in untreated controls. Study by Dr. Russell Carr and Dr. Anna Marie Clay.
Cancer immunotherapy
Research using the immune system's own tools to attack cancer — and to remove cancer-linked substances from the body.
